Lazare Gallery’s collection has master works from the late 19th C all the way to the 21 C, with a focus on the artists that reformed the Surikov Institute just before World War II . As a collection, it has multiple artists in a pedagogical lineage illustrating the golden threads of dissemination of knowledge, amongst some of the most talented realists of the 20th C. We have sought in Russia and beyond around the world for the top paintings of these artists, studying their ouvre, and curating the collection through much coveted relationships with family members that inherited the works.
